Paris FC continuing to impress.

Logo_PFCI am a Paris FC fan. Therefore, I plan on doing a lot of posts on this site regarding the Championnat National side, which, so far, is looking pretty impressive.

With four games played this season, Paris FC has taken 7 points, only one point out of the promotion zone. Last week’s 4-2 victory against Rodez Aveyron helped their cause.

PFC looked impressive right off the bat against Rodez. In the 4th minute, Julien Lorthioir kicked a perfect free kick into the box and onto the head of Strasbourg native Anthony Weber.

David Pollet, who had already scored two goals this year for PFC directed a pass to a breaking Rémi Souyeux, who outran two defenders, to score the breakaway second goal.

Pollet would get the thrid goal for PFC off a break while catching Rodez goalkeeper out of position. Still, Rodez would score a goal to make the score 3-1 at the half.

Jimmy Roye knocked home the final goal for Paris FC with an extremely sharp-looking shot which caught the top right-hand corner. PFC won the match 4-2.

While scoring has been a problem so far for PFC, they looked quite impressive in this match. Coach Jean-Marc Pilorget must have put some fire into them because they looked different compared to the last two games. Three goals were perfect counter-attacks with Rodez being totally outnumbered. The first goal was a perfectly executed set piece. If you are a coach, this is what you look for in your team..plays that are done in practice perfectly executed in play.

This week PFC  will travel to Amiens where they will take on a team that is lingering at mid-table with three draws and only two goals scored. Paris should be able to give a good performance. Unfortunately, the top three teams in the table also have easy competition this week.

Paris FC is still looking to push on into Ligue 2, and with the way they started off the season, there doesn’t seem to be any reason why they cannot accomplish that feat.
