Is Eden Hazard a possible future Gunner?
So far, the talk about French players moving to other clubs during the winter transfer window has been pretty quiet.
We have heard the usual rumors about Franck Ribery, Patrick Vieira and Marouane Chamakh. And since our last update on here, we haven’t heard any new news on those players.
But, according to the Daily Mirror, the talk about Thierry Henry moving to the NY Red Bulls has started up again. While they state the Red Bulls have continued interest in Henry, there is no concrete evidence to support Henry’s move to the MLS. He has said in the past that he would like to play in the US, but nothing as materialized.
Also, Henry has been linked (or course, by British media) to a move back to the EPL. The Mirror also says that Henry has shown interest in Manchester City. Again, nothing concrete about this rumor, and I think this is just more English ‘wishful thinking’ than it is actual fact.
The Daily Mirror also states that Belgium international and Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard has been recently tracked by Arsenal. Besides the fact that they are monitoring the player, there has been no discussion about Arsenal actually making a move for Hazard.
Andre-Pierre Gignac, who recently signed a four-year extension to stay with Toulouse, is being targeted by a number of Italian clubs. A number of website have mentioned that Napoli is interested in the 23-year old striker. Gignac has also been linked as a possible replacement for David Trezeguet at Juventus.
