NBC has ordered six episodes of a new game show from the amusing "Ellen DeGeneres Show" host, Variety reports.

Contestants, plucked from the audience, will have to complete stunts, answer questions "under huge pressure" and participate in other means of silliness.

NBC said they have ordered just six episodes, and it has been described as a "combination of American Ninja Warrior, RuPaul's Drag Race and a water park", according to Ellen herself.

'OK, it's nothing like that, but you should still watch'. Kohli will appear in Episode 18, where his presence will affect his ex, Lena Luthor, and spur an important journalistic storyline for Kara.

Ellen DeGeneres is packing up her games and heading to a new playground.

Ellen DeGeneres has hosted her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, for 14 seasons.

DeGeneres starred in the groundbreaking ABC sitcom Ellen from 1994 to 1998 on which her TV character came out as gay at around the same time as DeGeneres. "She is among the very best at engaging with her devoted audience and we are all in for a treat when her antics hit prime time".

The series is also executive-produced by Mary Connelly, Ed Glavin, Andy Lassner, Kevin Leman, Jeff Kleeman, David A. Hurwitz.

Whatever DeGeneres has up her sleeve, it's bound to be good, and the network guaranteed as much. We've married a great concept to the best host in the business.

Its premiere date is now unknown.
