Reasons Mike Pence's EmailGate Is Nothing Compared to Hillary Clinton's

Vice President Mike Pence used a private AOL account to conduct official business in his former position as the governor of in, according to public records.

News of Vice President Pence's email transgressions came to light on Thursday when the Indianapolis Star obtained a number of his emails during his time as governor of Indiana. "Government emails involving his state and personal accounts are being archived by the state consistent with IN law, and are being managed according to Indiana's Access to Public Records Act".

The former governor used to communicate with advisers about various matters, including the security of Indiana.

In other words, all of the sensitive information reportedly transmitted via Pence's private email account was put at risk. "Government emails involving his state and personal accounts are being archived by the state consistent with IN law, and are being managed according to Indiana's Access to Public Records Act".

Addressing the question of where those emails are now, Lotter says that as he prepared to work in Washington, Pence "directed outside counsel to review all of his communications to ensure that state-related emails are being transferred and properly archived by the state".

In both cases, Clinton and Pence were, at best, far too cavalier about transparency and accountability. Pence later sent an apology to his contacts and created a new account. Pence criticized Hillary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign over her own email scandal, accusing her of potentially allowing hackers to get a hand on classified info, and now experts are expressing the same concerns about his emails-though, as the Star notes, his emails wouldn't have dealt with national security issues at the same level Clinton's did. Yes, the Indy Star added that sensitive issues relating to homeland security were discussed, but "much if not all of that information appears to have been reported in the media at the time". But that's exactly what happened on Friday, when Clinton was photographed reading headlines on Mike Pence's email controversy. In fact, Pence's personal account was hacked last summer. This is an absurd reach into the past to throw more mud at the Trump White House.

"We call on the FBI to immediately release all the email pertinent to their reopened investigation".
